Physiotherapy that’s tailored to you

No two people or injuries are the same.

Your first appointment will include a thorough assessment of your symptoms, movement, strength and how your problem is affecting your everyday life. We’ll explain what we find in clear, straightforward language and discuss the options available to you.

From there, we’ll create a personalised treatment and rehabilitation plan based on your individual needs, goals and lifestyle.

Depending on your assessment, your treatment may include hands-on therapy, exercise, Pilates, acupuncture, rehabilitation or a combination of different approaches.

Our aim is not simply to treat your symptoms. We want to help you understand your problem, build your confidence and give you the tools to manage it long-term.

How can physiotherapy help?

We treat a wide range of musculoskeletal, sports and rehabilitation conditions, including:

  • Back & neck pain

  • Headaches

  • Shoulder pain

  • Knee pain

  • Ankle and foot pain

  • Sports injuries

  • Tennis & golfer’s elbow

  • Foot & shin pain

  • Arthritis and joint conditions

Your treatment, your goals

We believe good physiotherapy is about more than what happens during your appointment.

We’ll work with you to set realistic goals and develop a plan that fits into your life. Your treatment may involve a combination of hands-on treatment, exercise and rehabilitation, depending on what you need.

Manual Therapy

Hands-on treatment including soft tissue techniques, joint mobilisation and manipulation, where appropriate, to help reduce pain and improve movement.

Exercise Therapy

Specific exercises to improve strength, mobility, control and confidence, helping you make lasting progress and return to the activities you enjoy.

Pilates

Physio-led Pilates can be incorporated into your rehabilitation to help improve core strength, mobility, balance, posture and movement control.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture may be used alongside other physiotherapy treatments where appropriate to help with pain management and rehabilitation.

Kinesiology Taping

Taping techniques may be used as part of your treatment to provide support and help you manage symptoms while you recover.

Ergonomic Assessment

Practical advice to help you improve your workstation, working environment and everyday habits, particularly if work is contributing to your symptoms.

Functional Movement Screening

We can assess how you move to identify areas of weakness, restriction or altered movement patterns that may be contributing to your problem or affecting your performance.

Strength & Conditioning

Progressive rehabilitation to help you build strength, improve physical capacity and return safely to sport, exercise and everyday activities.

Electrotherapy

Electrotherapy may be incorporated into your treatment where clinically appropriate and as part of a wider rehabilitation programme.

Home Visits

For clients who are unable to attend one of our clinics, home physiotherapy appointments may be available, depending on location and availability.

Rehabilitation doesn’t stop when you leave the clinic

What you do between appointments can be an important part of your recovery.

Where appropriate, we provide personalised home exercise programmes with video demonstrations, giving you clear guidance on what to do and how to do it.

Your programme is sent directly to your phone or email, so you can easily access your exercises at home, at the gym or wherever you’re exercising.

As your strength and movement improve, we can adjust your programme to keep your rehabilitation progressing.

All Active Pilates & Physio

Move Better. Feel Better. Live Better.

What our clients are saying...

Due to my work and the stresses and strains of modern life I have ongoing issues with neck and shoulder pain.  Andrea has helped me through physio sessions and physio led mat Pilates and which have helped greatly.  She is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what she does.  I know I am in good hands and would recommend her physio treatment and classes without hesitation.

I have attended Physiotherapy with the All Active team for both aching shoulders and post op physio.  I've found them extremely helpful and holistic in their approach on my way to recovery.  Highly recommended.

Both Andrea and later Ellen have been a great support to me after my knee replacement surgery. Weekly physio has led to weekly pilates with occasional physio.Reassurance as well as challenge is what I needed over the last 5 months and I can feel the difference this has made.100% recommend that you put your trust in All Active Pilates and Physio to get you moving again!

Susan

I have nothing but praise for Andrea and the All Active Pilates & Physio team.  Recently I have been attending 1:1 appointments with Catherine for physio and rehabilitation exercises after my hip replacement surgery in January. Catherine has been fantastic in taking me step by step through exercises to help build back my strength and restore my mobility.  Catherine also provided video links of exercises that I can follow and practice at home between appointments.  I’m now really looking forward to getting back to classes.

Laura

My physio appointment with Andrea post hip replacement surgery went really well. Andrea has a very caring approach, with lots of great advice, exercises and support given to aid my recovery. Looking forward to my next session.
