Pilates is a body conditioning exercise program that targets the deep postural muscles of the abdomen and spine to improve overall central core stability and posture.


The mind and body are brought together to achieve these aims through the following eight principles: concentration, centering, breathing, isolation, routine, precision, control and flowing movement.


With regular practice, Pilates positively changes the body. Research now shows the effectiveness of such exercises in reducing pain, improving physical function, movement and well being.

Our physiotherapist led pilates classes provide pilates for back pain, pilates for beginner and intermediate levels, pilates for runners and sports. Our Pilates classes for men and woman are suitable for all ages and fitness levels and also beneficially for those with poor posture, arthritis and before and after pregnancy.  We provide 1-1 Antenatal Pilates and Postnatal Pilates and Pilates for lower back pain.

Class Prices

  • Classes are run in blocks of between 4-9  weeks and are paid for in advance.  If you are unable to attend a class, it can be made up at another class provided there is a space.

  • Block prices

    • 7 weeks £66.50     

    • 8 weeks £76

Class Information and Registration

  • Prior to starting the classes an online registration form should be completed . You can access the online registration form when you book for the course of Pilates classes using this link here

  • If you have a current or recent injury it is recommended that you attend a one to one consultation to allow your individual requirements to be assessed.

  • Pilates Classes are run in blocks of 4-8 weeks to allow exercises to be safely progressed within the course, with each class 55 minutes.

  • Due to restricted class sizes it is essential to book your place on the course.

  • We run Physiotherapy Led Pilates classes in Hillsborough, Lisburn and Dromore.

Andrea provides us with a varied programme and a different piece of equipment each week.  All set to challenge our individual abilities.  There are always different levels to each exercise which Andrea will demonstrate to the class.

Andrea will walk around the room,  gently manoeuvring us into the correct position if necessary.

I come away from the classes relaxed, stretched and enjoy a better nights sleep that evening.

Andrea ensures that you are performing all the moves correctly and at your own pace. I find it very relaxing and enjoy each of the sessions which are always varied with different types of apparatus.
